Nasty incident at Hearts-Celtic match. I went to one match at Tynecastle in 2008 and was struck by the understated but serious security presence (for a Cup match with Motherwell). I would have thought the security would have been a bit higher for a league match against Celtic, but apparently not.

This sort of behaviour has no place in football.

Well, that's Thursday night and the 2009 season (league and champions league) done. More time to spend on premier league across the pond.

Speaking of which, I'm still trying to decide: Hibs or Hearts? The Old Firm = not my cup of tea. Got friends and acquaintances in both camps (in fact, my Hibs-loving friend sent me a Jambos strip--how should I take that? ;-)

Meantime, DCU needs (a) a new coach, (b) to part ways with a few older players, (c) a serious approach to getting a new ground.
