2 x flatpacks from Ikea, each far too heavy for me to carry up my steep stairs (at least in this weather (either the front stairs with two sets of steps and three doors to get through or the back stairs, rickety wooden construction with two 90* turns between the bottom and the inside, plus two doors that are right next to each other and open in opposite directions).
Want to get flatpacks inside so that (a) I can begin assembling them, (b) I free up the space in the car so I can go back and get the other unit that was out of stock but more were due in today, and (c) the laminate and woodchip boards don't simply melt into a pile of goo in the 100*F+ temperatures that they experience if sitting in my car.
Housemates all conveniently out of town. Don't know the next-door neighbours well enough to ask for help. Sturdy friends who usually come over Tuesday night didn't come because they were over Monday on the holiday.
How to get the flatpacks upstairs? ( Hmmmm. How about.... )
