(LOL) I was so caught up in whining about the legibility issues posed by the grey-and-khaki look that I didn't even consider that it had been painted over her favorite color. I sense some color adjustments looming on the horizon. :-)

Yep. The only hard-to-read thing is where blue hyperlinks appear on a dark purple background, as in the comment headers. It doesn't remind me of Redmond Simonsen anymore, but that seems like a small price to pay for practicality--and keeping your girlfriend happy.
