what really happens at reenacting events...

travels

soccer_fox and I got home last night from our travels. I'll post a fuller account later (I know, I keep saying that), but the brief version is that we went to Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont. We spent most of one day canoing, and much of the remainder of it in the emergency room after NJS cut her toe on something while swimming (it needed six stitches, but it is healing nicely). We spent most of another day wandering around an art museum. We went to see a monument and tried, but failed, to travel upa mountain. We got home, decided not to go out to the United-Galaxy match, watched it on TV, and collapsed into several hours of sleep.

My car is making strange noises, my (home) computer is broken, no one kept up with any of my work while I was away, our Internet in the office is constantly down, many of our other IT systems mysteriously fail without warning or explanation, and our client still doesn't know whether they have any money to pay us after the end of the fiscal year.

On the upside, the medicine NJS got for Busby from the vet seems to have him all healthy and happy again (he had a respiratory infection). Nothing seemed to have gone wrong in the flat *apart* from the PC. NJS loved New England and agreed that if we don't settle in the UK we should go live there. And the weather was really nice most of the time we were away. Wednesday night we even needed a quilt!
