Not only did he live in Williamstown, my college town, for many years, but his house was apparently just recently on the market.

Also see this article in Forbes. Apparently he left the house to the college when he died, but it was resold a few years later.

Right now. And be on one of those boats. The only times I've gone sailing (mostly for an afternoon, but once for, what was it, a week? a week and a half?) I've loved it. Scotland + sailing? I can only imagine that it would be as close to heaven as I can easily imagine. One of my neighbors is selling a rather beat-up-looking twentysome-footer for about $2,000, and it's taking all my willpower not to at least go over and look at it...
