Took six hours today and attended referee recertification. I'm officially blind and deaf for 2011, though I missed 10 questions out of 100. I need to bone up on the unlikely outcomes of throw-ins; though I do seem to have learned everything I was missing last year about Odd Things That Happen During PKs. Strangely I got right all the ones that the instructor wanted to go over after because they were "tricky" (though I triple-guessed myself on What To Do if a player spits at a teammate).

Had a late lunch (first meal of the day at 15.00!), got some groceries, and came home to a gloomy afternoon in a flat filled with stinky cat boxes. Not in a mood for making any decisions; I'm off to the couch with a bowl of fresh fruit, a cup of tea, and the Roku remote...

um, laugh?

Well, the first thing you do is eject the player, showing him a red card.

But the question was--what is the correct way of restarting play after doing that? It's a little bit of a trick question.
