So Kevin and I spent the morning digging out our cars and our housemates' car and the rest of our street frontage (I with the mind that the Globetrotter would be able to park if she came over).

Well, the housemates and K have both gone out, and some people (no idea who they are, but they don't live in our house and I'm pretty sure they're not visiting) have come and parked in the place that we cleared out, taking up all three spaces with a sedan and a minivan that still has the roof covered with snow (one of my pet hates in winter, because it invariably freezes and then flies off on the highway, often shattering on someone elses' windscreen).

So not only is there nowhere for my friend to park when she comes over, but there is nowhere for two RESIDENTS of the hosue to park IN FRONT OF OUR OWN HOUSE. I went across the street and dug out a space on the streambank shoulder, but what do you want to bet someone else will park there?

This is so RUDE and PRESUMPTUOUS! >:-(

put a note under the windscreen wiper of the errant cars, telling them why you are ticked off.

The custom in Baltimore is to put lawn furniture in the spaces you've dug out to reserve them.

My dad has always been fond of a squirt of baby oil on the windshield.
