Hit the shops for neeps (both kinds) and tatties. Made sure there was a drop of the creature in the house.

Saltire? Check.

All is in readiness. Roll on, Sunday.

We should be able to make it, at least for a bit! (Mom will be gone but I'll be in serious need of alone time!)

Haggis: so, is it actually edible, or do you just have to have it for the occasion, like a boar's head?

I ask this in all sincerity, as I used to be mortally revolted at the thought of "blood sausage," until I had some in Austria. It was wickedly delicious!

You're putting me to shame, I've not organised anything for Sunday yet!! Hopefully I shall be celebrating in true Scottish style though - with a hangover :-)

Enjoy your meal!
