winterbadgerI went out to the farmers' market, fed the cats next door, got lunch from Pollo Campero*, and I've been watching telly off the DVR.I'm not sure what's making it harder to stay awake--the heat and humidity or the piles of sleeping cats everywhere. :-) I've had a cafetiere of coffe with breakfast and a coke (after lunch) and I'm still dozing.
Trying to figure out whether to keep trying to stay awake or just take a nap.
Oh, wait, Busby's found a cat toy. I think I'll be staying awake a while longer... :-)
ETA: Cooling down a bit now and breezier, but still sultry.
* After hearing for so long about what a huge deal this is in CentAm, I've been wanting to try it for a while. Not much different from KFC, except slightly less greasy (+) and a more exotic selection of sides and drinks (+) which are mostly much more bland than US alternatives (-). The black beans and rice are less spicy than Cajun red beans and rice, but still tasty. The "spicy rice" is not at all spicy, almost flavourless. I chose a soft drink at random, maranon, which was odd but OK. Turns out it's cashew-fruit juice!
