don't get RCN

winterbadgerIf you are looking for cable service, and RCN is one of your options, I would strongly suggest you avoid dealing with them.
I terminated my RCN service to go with a better package from Verizon. I received my final bill a week ago, and they are asking me to pay an additional sum for service *after* the time I canceled my contract with them. I called to protest and was told they always bill for ten days after service is canceled.
Since I had specifically canceled when I did because it was the end of their billing cycle, this really annoys me.
