I finally got around to spending the last bonus they handed out (a smallish one to everyone on the contract, because the government gave the highest possible marks for our contract performance) on some books about the Borders and a CD by this amazing Canadian group I heard on the radio, Vent du Nord.
I think I'll hold onto this second bonus, though. It would help pay for a nice minibreak, if N can ever get away from work.
