No shame or excuse from the McCain campaign, of course, but when the Prince of Darkness says you're evil...

Date: 2008-09-15 11:24 am (UTC)Usually they are mostly right with this brad sweeping generalization; but in this case we have a rare politician who has yet to be caught in a lie and who is very clearly sticking to the issues. The rare times Obama (and his campaign) attack, they stick to the issues and are specific and accurate about the infraction they are attacking. They continue to attack the infraction and not the campaigner himself...
They are far, far more generous and less negative than I could ever being if facing off against such blatantly narcissistic bastards.
To include Obama and his campaign in these broad generalizations is WRONG. We must start challenging them.

Date: 2008-09-15 11:49 am (UTC)I can't seem to load the www.factcheck.org website for some reason, but go to Polifact and the WP's Fact Checker. You have to search through the latter's entries, but they've give Obama a number of Pinocchios for mistakes, repeating things that simply aren't true, and changing his mind about words that have come out of his mouth later on. Polifact has separate pages for John McCain and Barack Obama; Obama comes off much better, but he has plenty of half true, barely true, and false entries.
Again, Scott, I think you're letting your (understandable) admiration for the man turn him into a saint, a title which he would certainly deny.
