I come back from a weekend at my mothers', check my mail, and there's a 23-message thread on cheese. On a wargaming group.

It's making my mouth water...

Edit: The message is now up to 70 posts, and has spawned a separate thread on Mexican beer and another on jokes about cheese. :-)

No, in this case, someone just stated some preferences, asked for others', and a long, leisurely, detailed discussion of cheese ensued.

Only punctuated by one fellow's horrifying (and amusing) story of what happened when he was trying to open a bottle of wine (short version: bottle actually split apart, sliced his hand open, trip to A&E, ten stitches). Finished with "What was worse was that it was some vile muck for the Mother-in-Law, not even decent stuff" and then his account of almost injuring himself again opening *another* bottle, to use for medicinal purposes after he'd come home...
