is there anything worth watching on TV?

For about the millionth time (OK, maybe third), RCN has had system failure and (I don't understand how this works) erased all the saved shows on our DVR. Not only all the actual programs, but the list of things we wanted it to record.

So, besides soccer and The Daily Show and a couple of things I know I want (The Wire, Life on Mars, Torchwood, Battlestar Galactica when the next season comes) and Neta's comfort TV (Scrubs, Law & Order), I'm at a bit of a loss as to what would be worth recording. I don't watch TV as a regular thing, so I don't know what's on.

Any suggestions?

Oooh, Doctor Who, indeed!

Elf and I watch mostly stuff from Discovery and HGTV. I highly recommend "Mythbusters" and "Dirty Jobs," though don't watch the latter during dinner if you've got a queasy stomach. >;-) We LOVES our MB and DJ!
