My newest nephews, Theo and Simon, have finally arrived. Both around five pounds and "quite lovely" according to my sister Cornelia. Her partner Lee seems to have come through everything well (despite being my age and having been on bedrest for the last six weeks, which I thought was going to result in her going stark staring bonkers).

Pretty amazing, eh? She's been heard to remark a number of times that if she'd know what she was getting in for (espec. the hormone whammy of carrying twins), she might have thought more about it...

Wow, congratulations to all of you. I have some little gifties I must send them.

Maybe even more amazing than giving birth to twins in your early 40s is becoming a mother of twins in your mid-50s, as Cornelia is doing.

Oh well, those two thrive on chaos, and now they'll have plenty to go around. :-)
