In a support position? Perfect! How long, roughly, did it take for the hiring process, from the time that they advertised the position to the time that you actually got hired on? Did you need to get vetted?
I'm looking at a couple of jobs with Scottish police services that they need to fill with a vetted person. I've been vetted here in the States a number of times, and it takes a good long while for them to get that done. I'm thinking that if I got selected, and it took long enough, it might sync up with when soccer_fox might be ready to do her residency. I don't want to move over an leave her her for a year or more, but if it were a matter of months....
Mostly I'm wondering how long their hiring procedures generally take. There are a couple of jobs open, one with Central and one with the SCDEA that might be good fits for me, and if they were likely to take as long at actually going through the hiring process as some US government offices do...
