Just a very quick note to say I've only just seen the news. I hope and trust that my friends in Scotland (and elsewhere in the UK) are safe and well. You're in my thoughts right now.

I'm here, and thankfully everyone else is fine. However, this did lead me to put the kibosh on going into London today, as the City is on high alert. I'm glad I didn't get the job for another reason now.

Apart from the distruption of air flights and traffic it's very calm - although a lot of people are worried.
Personally, I'm just glad they were such amateur terrorists.

Bit of damage to the airport terminal building but that's about it. Big long queues and lots of cancelled flights. We may cancel our upcoming short holiday in Milan and Lugano if the airport security measures remain at their current wait-for-hours-and-hours level. It was a bit of a surprise though. We've never had terrorism in Scotland before. Except Lockerbie.

Everyone I know is ok, but everything's rather manic and tense.
