I'm not sure what just happened...

I went to the annual meeting for our supporters' club today. There were speeches by the officers. There was a speech by the new coach. There were tables for various club activities. There was a raffle to benefit charity.

One of the people selling raffle tickets was a rather cute girl I'd not seen around before. We chatted. After the club meeting, there was a party at a nearby nightspot. I played darts for a while. I had several beers. The cute girl showed up. I and several other people chatted with her. She escaped. I went to the bar. She came over to sit with me. I asked for her number. She gave it to me. We talked for about another hour or so. We traded various information, including our ages (she's 29; I'm well, 42--that didn't deter her). We went over to the garage where we'd both left our cars. We established which nights she did stuff and which nights she would be free. I kissed her good night (chastely--on the forehead). We both went home.

*blinks in confusion* I think I just hit on someone. In a bar. And I apparently have been encouraged to ask her for a date.

This is unfamiliar territory. I'm all confuzzled...

Hey, good for you! Don't question it, I know it's hard to feel confident about this sort of thing, but her interest shows that you should be confident in yourself, so just go with it and enjoy where it takes you!
