This will probably jinx me (since at heart I don't regard this process as having any rational foundation), but I managed to lose about several pounds over the last week and a half. Strangely enough, it seems to result from (a) eating less (and eating foods that are better for one) and (b) getting more exercise.
I just went back through my journal entries for the last year (as long as I've been using the 'weight' tag), and if I can lose another few, I'll be lower than at any time I've recorded since October 2005. That would be something, at any rate.
