brief personal update

OK, so after the loooong day yesterday, I have a reasonably-sized day today, especially considering I'm taking a few hours out in the middle to play limo driver.

Had my favourite breakfast today (lox and the works on toasted poppy seed bagel from Einstein's). Going to trade a huge pile of minis I don't play with for a smaller pile of minis I will play with.

Need to get rid of my couch now that the new one is coming. Bryan, any chance I could take you up on the offer of your truck? Peter, could I borrow your arms and back? The county dump will take it for free, whereas it looks as if haulers are going to want $100 to take it away. If I buy you guys both dinner and beers, it will still come to less than that. :-)

Lots of good video-ry to watch, a weekend to try and get the cleaning done I've been putting off for too long, good food in the fridge... life isn't too bad.

Whenever we can get the estimable Mr Peter (or an equivalent helper) and the transfer station is open (http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dpwes/trash/disphours.htm). Looks like they will still charge me $60, but better that than $100.
