Many thanks to all those who posted notes of sympathy last night. I'm very grateful. I have good friends.

Now off to spend the day on a coach trip with a bunch of drunken louts on the way to a footy match. That should certainly take my mind off things... *wry smile*

It was fun to stand and sing and cheer in the pouring rain (since I had good raingear) and watch 4 (count 'em, 4!) balls go past Tony Meola intot eh old onion bag.

It was; whomping our archrivals in *their* stadium with a travelling supporters; contingent that outsings (and comes close to outnumbering) the home fans is a lovely thing. As far as the rest goes... probably for the best. If you're with someone who is prepared to ask you to give up your dearest hopes and dreams in the name of process, it's best to find that out early.
