Something else I can mark off my whiteboard--I've finished and turned in my final exam. We'll see how it is received; I deliberately took some slightly controversial points of view in the essay questions, mostly out of a desire to play devil's advocate and be somewhat mischievous, partly because I really believe some of the esesence of the positions and am interested to see the prof's reaction to them. It turned out I did have an email waiting for me (the damn university system has not way to actually have it sent *to* you--you have to sign onto their website to see any mail), a note from the prof from yesterday saying he noticed I hadn't turned it in and pointing out I needed to get it in within five days or ask for an extension (!) Heck, I thought I might already be liable for a late penalty. They really are lenient. But next time I AM NOT GOING TO PROCRASTINATE! I will do my assignments ON TIME, even if there are delightful oportunities to waste time surrounding me (as there always are, and even more with A in the picture! :-)

I had to pass on an expotition with Da Grrlz in order to get the exam paper done, so I'm left to my own devices; I think I will wrap some remaining presents and fold laundry while catching up on my TiVo. I think Chris and I are going to go see Narnia this evening. I've had several nice phone chats and emails from A over the past few days; apparently her best friends who she's spent the holiday with are so curious about me we've been invited up for after New Year's. :-)
