Miniature gaming

I don't think I've posted this here, but thsi Sunday I'm hosting a playtest for a new set of miniature wargaming rules my friend Rocky has been working on. The rules are for the English Civil War, and are available here. Anyone is welcome to join in; previous wargaming experience helpful but not required.

You do mini-gaming? Sweet! I'm into Warhammer Fantasy...well, I have a Skaven army but haven't actually played w/ it yet, despite having it for like 3 years now...!

I have a Skaven army, too! (And Brettonians, and Lizardmen, and...) Love the little ratty guys, with their sneakiness and their treachery, and their radioactive magic... My buddy john_arundel and some other folks play WH from time to time, and I play in a local club, but most of the club chaps play much more frequently than I do, and get more practice, hence they beat my ass all the time :-)

It's pretty sad that I've never actually played, as I know like 6 other people who play. So sad! My ratties want a chance to wreak havoc!

Ohh, lizzies are my other favrite army - one of my friends has the most gorgeously painted Lizardmen army I've ever seen. Of course, he's an artist, so that migth explain it!

Yeah, john_arundel is an amazing painter and modeler, as are some of the other chaps in the club. I'm not that great--I don't have the patience for it! I need to spend more time painting though, jsut to get a few more of my armies usuable. I keep telling myself they don't win because they're resentful at being all just primed or bare metal/plastic. :-)

I have the same painting problem - I enjoy it, but my patience wears out way sooner than it needs to, to paint all those rats!

I have no doubt that armies rebel against not being prettily painted and so cause you to lose. I've seen unpainted skeletons change die rolls....
