I should have a Red Dwarf icon to go with that subject line...

I was curious as to what declared national emergencies are still in force (according to USC 50, any time the president declares a national emergency, he has to renew that declaration every year, or it automatically expires. DNEs can also be explicitly ended by the president or Congress.)

As far as I can tell, from searching the Federal Register, we are currently experiencing 15 national emergencies in regard to:

Libya (9186) (12543)
weapons off mass destruction (1994) (12938)
Iran (1995) (12957)
Cuba (1996) (P6867, P7757)
terrorists who threaten to disrupt the Middle East peace process (1995) (12947)
Burma (1997) (13047)
Sudan (1997) (13067; possibly expired)
proliferation of Russian fissile material (2000) (13159)
Export Adminstration Act, non-renewal of (2001) (13222)
terrorist attacks and persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism (2001) (13223, 13224, 13253)
Western Balkans (2001) (13219)
Syria (2003) (13338)
Zimbabwe (2003) (13288)
Iraq (2003) (13303, 13315, 13350, 13364)
Liberia (2004) (13348)
