Monday news
Oct. 4th, 2005 12:38 amTook the plunge. My new best friend (click the charcoal & red option).
I caught some rebroadcasts of the classic show The Prisoner on TiVo. That was such a fantastic show when I was three. It was in colour the whole time--who knew? (NB: I think the first colour television my parents got was some time in the Reagan or the first Bush administration. They still have never had either cable or satellite feed.)
DC United clinched a playoff berth, and with 3 games left, they could conceivably take the division title. They *could* go all the way. I'm not sure I believed that at the beginning of the season.

Date: 2005-10-04 12:02 pm (UTC)Lake Accotink Park might be a good place to try it out. Gravel and dirt trails. The main trial is wide and mostly flat, but there are also some intesting side trails, some easy, some pretty challenging.
If you get interest doing in some group ride, there are a couple of good bike club around DC. Potomac Pedalers has rides at all levels.
Have fun.

Really, the mountains alone would do it, and then there's the sea and all the history beside.
