spam puzzlement
Sep. 27th, 2005 09:20 amOK, so I accidentally opened one of my incoming piece of spam and, honestly, I can't understand what the *point* of it is.
Why even send that to people? On the hope that they'll click on the link? I guess (I didn't and have no idea what it leads to). But it seems... pointless.

1) They're hoping you're stupid, gullible and greedy enough to see "All pay except you" and think all the gibberish is a secret code for a lucrative scam you're about to be let in on.
2) It's a signal from the Gods, a burst of selseless gibberish that will short-circuit your mundane earthbound thought-processes and kick-start you to a higher plane of being.
