spam puzzlement

OK, so I accidentally opened one of my incoming piece of spam and, honestly, I can't understand what the *point* of it is.

Subject line: Nothing to say $74286

Test:fishhook endeixis Drygases celery crabwise bouilli befoamed.

All pay except you.

[deleted weblink] backload dropple cutaway egotized finikin beebees cotylae.

Why even send that to people? On the hope that they'll click on the link? I guess (I didn't and have no idea what it leads to). But it seems... pointless.

What, no mention of Britney or penis enlargement? Is that all passe now?

There's two possible explanations:

1) They're hoping you're stupid, gullible and greedy enough to see "All pay except you" and think all the gibberish is a secret code for a lucrative scam you're about to be let in on.

2) It's a signal from the Gods, a burst of selseless gibberish that will short-circuit your mundane earthbound thought-processes and kick-start you to a higher plane of being.

Spam is getting weirder and weirder, to try and get around statistical filtering. Unfortunately for the spammers, this means that spam messages get harder and harder for the recipient to understand.

So, eventually, spammers may have to give up, and go back to their previous means of communication: hurling feces at each other.
