gaming on the 25th

So, I'm trying to prepare for my game day on the 25th. I'd like to run a historical miniatures game (though there will of course also be boardgaming). What sort of game should I run?

Even if you're not a regular LJ user/poster, please feel free to vote and comment if you're planning on joining in; I could really use the feedback.

since his little run-in with sniffer dogs at the airport
led to his departure from WW.

Sports Night getting cancelled still angers me. Because, of
course, there aren't enough real and important things to get
legitimately angry about these days... ;) I was prepared
to be equally disappointed this year but FOX (of all networks)
actually did the right thing and re-upped for Arrested Development
(best network sitcom since SportsNight, IMO).

As my friend Dave at work (A fellow I think you would enjoy, bidger) is fond of saying, "As long as you're outraged, that's what's really important." :-)

Fox is surprsiing sometimes. "House" is good too. You'd think they were a real network. And "Rescue Me" was really good too, until they started getting wrapped up in trying to out-weird the previous episode.

All IMO, but House was the best new show of the year, cable or
network, and Arrested Development was the year before. For as
little as I watch TV, FOX sure does get the bulk of my business.
And they have a summer program, The Inside, co-produced by Tim
Minear of Angel and Firefly repute. The pilot last week was
pretty good (if intentionally grim) for a pilot. Could evolve
into something good.

And, yeah, if you can't get ticked about the little things, then
all that repressing the important stuff could really hurt you.

OK, Mr Bidger, it looks like you (if you make it) and I will be the only people playing, so Boers it is. I'll get started painting and basing...

Why, oh why do people who aren't actually participating still find it necessary to enter a vote other than abstention? Slightly annoying to me, I have to confess.
