So, I'm trying to prepare for my game day on the 25th. I'd like to run a historical miniatures game (though there will of course also be boardgaming). What sort of game should I run?

Even if you're not a regular LJ user/poster, please feel free to vote and comment if you're planning on joining in; I could really use the feedback.

I don't know yet if I can attend, but I picked one because I like to vote in polls.

I'm not definite to attend, but I voted anyway (Boer).
So adjust results accordingly.

Mmm.. well, especially covered with cheese, it is a
fabulous vegetable. But I never heard of anyone
being lost to bro-

Oh. You said _bucolic_.

I'm here all week. Try the veal.

;) Alas, Sorkin has been wasting his time writing a movie,
since his little run-in with sniffer dogs at the airport
led to his departure from WW.

Sports Night getting cancelled still angers me. Because, of
course, there aren't enough real and important things to get
legitimately angry about these days... ;) I was prepared
to be equally disappointed this year but FOX (of all networks)
actually did the right thing and re-upped for Arrested Development
(best network sitcom since SportsNight, IMO).

All IMO, but House was the best new show of the year, cable or
network, and Arrested Development was the year before. For as
little as I watch TV, FOX sure does get the bulk of my business.
And they have a summer program, The Inside, co-produced by Tim
Minear of Angel and Firefly repute. The pilot last week was
pretty good (if intentionally grim) for a pilot. Could evolve
into something good.

And, yeah, if you can't get ticked about the little things, then
all that repressing the important stuff could really hurt you.

;)

My RCS is undiminshed.

Re: TYW (AKA "some crap that happened 400 years ago", which I think would actually have been a catchier subtitle than "Europe in Agony") I was figuring that I still needed to noodle around with CB to figure out how cards work in it, but you can probably tell me that, I suppose. Other than that I think I'm basically ready to roll. It's likely to be an even uglier thirty years for those yearning to breathe free from the yoke of Rome than the real war was, I fear. I guess this time around we should sort out which optional rules we're using in advance, though. :-)

Back to the original thread, I was thinking that I might be available on the 25th, but my parents have just decided to drop by that day, so no dice (literally).
