OK, I've just finished filling out my federal and state tax forms, for the first time in my life.
Looks like I'll get some money back, about $4,300 if I've done the numbers right.
But, boy, am I tired--and this is after having done all the preliminary work last weekend, while Nora was grading papers.
Speaking of Herself, she and
vikingcat apparently got horrendously delayed on the ground in DC because of storms over Atlanta, and are spending the night in the Coca Cola Capital, having arrived too late to make any of their connections. :-( At least they've still got plenty of time to get where they're going tomorrow.

Date: 2005-03-20 03:40 am (UTC)It took us 27 hours to get from Arlington to Ft. Walton Beach, Florida (which works out to an average speed on the order of 20 mph). Best summary stat: on a simple four-segment round-trip flight, Delta managed to misplace or misdirect our luggage three times. At least I had a most pleasant traveling companion (who also brought along a stack of Sportsnight DVDs for us to watch) so we could remind each other of the amusing absurdities of the trek instead of just fuming over them.
Hope you had a happy birthday.

Date: 2005-03-21 07:27 pm (UTC)I'm so glad you enjoyed Sports Night! It's a joy that Nora and I share, and a few of my good friends as well. Welcome to the family of fans; you couldn't have had anyone better to introduce you to it. :-) While I rarely wear glasses and have never organized a seder at work, I tend to channel Jeremy a great deal, in the same way that Dr. B channels Dana. ;-)
