another good read in the offing

A sometime-friend of mine has had her third novel published, and Thread of Grace looks to be as much of a winner as her first two. I don't know how I missed that it was out (WHAT on earth having I been doing for the last month that I missed this? oh, erm, right...), but I'll be snagging a copy soon

I enjoy and was disturbed by her first two books. I need to reread them at some point.

..maybe those were my first really masochistic books I read...certainly fairly severe.

And I've never thought about those books without thinking of the children and wanting to cry.
