There's a weely pick-up game near me (a couple of blocks off Braddock Road just outside the Beltway) that's very friendly, encourages all skill levels to attend, and is challenging for anyone who shows up, semi-pro to just past absolute beginner. Anyway, here's the dope from their weekly broadcast.

All:

We are in limbo this week for Adult Soccer. If the weather (snow) does not materialize, we will be playing. If there is snow, consider the effort canceled.

Tentatively we will play at Canterbury Woods Elementary School, 3pm.

Take Braddock Rd west from the beltway(495), turn right on Woodland Way(directly across from Burke Lake Rd at Kings Park Shopping center). Woodland dead ends at Queen Elizabeth Blvd, the field is straight up the hill. Go around the block to park at the school or park along Queen Elizabeth Blvd.
