At Phineas's insistence, I took the yardstick and cleared out the space under the refridgerator this morning. The haul: three toy mice (one even has a tail still), several paper wads, his current favourite toy (a multicoloured crinkly foil ball, kind of like a Xmas tree ornament), a(n empty) pill bottle of Gilbert's, a cork, and several dust mice. I was wondering if there were a real mouse under there, he was so insistent on lying next to the door and reaching under, but I should have known it was his crinkly toy :-)

I can't wait until I can give them their Xmas presents. :-) Toy mice soaked in catnip, toy fish, new bowls for catmilk (blue and white, to go with the rest of the household china :-) and maybe a new climby thing if I can find a nice one that won't break me.

The mice and the fish I got at World Market. Oh. My. God. That place is like a crack den! I could probably spend my entire paycheck there. I went in looking for one thing for Chris and maybe some food for various people and came out with a multipiece present for my nephew, lots of various foodage gifties, a new cookbook for myself, little presents for people at work, a determination to come back sometime when I had money to spend on myself (and, yes, the present for Chris I was looking for).

There are few things cooler than the World Market, which we don't have here in exile on the east coast. When I make my yearly pilgrimage to WA, I have to ration myself to what fits in my suitcase. It isn't easy.

You're kidding! Sweeeeeeet. But I live in Jersey, where anything that isn't a Wawa, a Pottery Barn or a Target Greatland is officially outlawed. I guess there's hope yet.

It was earlier and you just didn't see it. =) The one in Fair Lakes has been there for I think something like four years.

I think it's impossible to leave World Market with *only* what you went in there for. Kinda like Target.
