wargamers' Xmas comes early

If any of you are wargames fans, especially if you've been waiting to jump into the big game that is Advanced Squad Leader, Multiman Publishing is having a huge discount sale to clear warehouse space.

Apart from the OCS games, I have pretty much most of the stuff they're selling off cheap, but I figured I'd let other people know.

Sadly this really doesn't help somebody trying to jump *into* ASL, as there is still no rulebook or Beyond Valor available. The sale items almost all require stuff I don't yet have, but the price is low enough I may get a hold of them anyhow. Still trying to afford Brit rules/counters...

Ugh, true. I thought for some reason that the starter kit was included, but I see now it isn't. But that's got to be the greatest advance in getting new people to play ASL since SL.

And now I look further, I see that the reason the Starter Kit isn't included is that it's sold out. I'm glad they've made getting it back in stock a priority; I've been unable for years to get some rabid gamign friends interested in a game you have to pay $50+ just for the *rules* with no game... having somethign you can buy that has the (basic) rules *and* pieces, maps, scenarios for under $30 has been a crying need since ASL began.
