Well, notice that this was all done at night (when the Army prefers to do its fighting). I don't know but I would guess that these are stealth material, black, with very,v ery silent motors.
Short answer, yes, that's the answer: the increasing use of spy drones (and attack drones--vide the assassination attempt on OBL) leads to an corresponding effort to spot and kill drones. Someone would probably need to be our tech level to do that. And right now, no one is.
I wondered about whether it was at nigth or not. I understood msot fightign was, with nightscope advantage beign there.
But, too, still news photos appear to eb mostly day shots. That may be from units mostly sleepign in "safe houses," though. it's very difficult for me to tell.
Todays' Times notes that there is a massive amount of artillery ised to get a relatively few guys; but that's okay with me, if it means greater safety. But, too, a startegy comemntator on the Newshour said it was soemtimes easier for folks to hide in rubble, so I dunno. . .
One city down, but relatively few insurgents around.
