not good

I've put all the weight back on that I lost since late December. Primarily because I've been getting zilch for exercise, and slipping out of sensible eating. Not good. I'm supposed to be going down more, not back up again.

OK, here we go again. Sensible snacks. No sweets. More water. Smaller portions. More exercise. I got a trainer for Rupert, so that I can do static riding when the weather is not good for cycling outside. Plus I'm going to start taking time off during the day at work to walk. That will at least get me outside and moving.

*sigh*

kittens!

Anyone up for adopting kittens (or a young cat)? My housemates foster for the Feline Foundation, and they have three 'clients" looking for a good home or homes. Photos are here

**************************************************

I'm currently fostering three young female cats for the Feline
Foundation of Greater Washington, and I'd love to find them good
permanent homes.

--Alice and Frankie are about 12 weeks old.
They're soft, cuddly, *very* playful and spunky, inquisitive, and not
the least bit shy. They also love to be petted and played with; Frankie,
in particular, has a purr at least three times her size.

--Their mother, Ella, is about 10 to 11 months old, so she's
technically still a kitten herself. She's quiet, affectionate, playful
(when the kittens aren't hogging all of the toys), and *loves* human
contact. She's dubious about other animals, though. I suspect that she'd
be happiest as an only pet for someone who was home much of the time
(such as a student, freelancer, or retiree). Access to windows for
viewing birds and squirrels would be a big plus, in her eyes.

All three are black-and-white short-haired cats who shed very little;
they're not finicky eaters and are generally very healthy. (Ella has
already been spayed; the two kittens are still too young for that.)

If you or anyone you know might be interested in adopting Ella or her
two kittens, I'd be happy to arrange for you to meet them (at my home in
Fairfax). The adoption process would go through the Feline Foundation;
you can find their policies and procedures at
www.ffgw.org/info/adoption.

Please feel free to forward this message to anyone you know who might
be interested. Thanks!
