I was curious to know what this stuff is that makes Odwalla Superfood so green is, that they are pleased to announce comes 1,000 mg in ever bottle: spirulina. Now I know. Hmmm. I guess I'm not going to feel too queasy...

I keep checking the BBC "Your photos of Scotland" page to see if they use any of the ones I send in (and because there are some lovely ones *other* people send in :-)

For Bryan and Peter: Fort George, from a Chinook

For Chris, someone kayaking the Falls of Dochart in Killin, that we stopped to see

Also for Bryan, gurkhas at Edinburgh Castle

for Mel, a border collie!

Loki, that little furry bugger, is here.

Thank goodness.

Mel and Chris went away for a few days, leaving me to look after the menagerie, and in between their leaving and my getting home, Mel's cat Loki did what he often does when she's gone for a few days--he hid. And he hides so well and so completely and so coninuously that I'm not sure he hasn't escaped. Maybe he got out while they were packing the car? Maybe he slipped out when I was taking the recycling up to the kerb. I wander around the house calling him. I go out on the porches--no cat. I wander around the outside of the house, softly calling his name because, of course, I don't want to face the possibility that I Lost Someone's Cat. Nothing. I look in the closets, under all the furniture, in all the nooks and crannies. No cat. I ask Gildy if he's seen Loki, the Spud Boy, the Lokinator. He cocks his head quizzically at me and purrs. I check the kitten room: Momma Cat and four really cute kittens, who are happy to see me, but no Lokifur. I worry through dinner and as I'm sleeping. I worry some more when I get up in the morning and still can't see him. I worry as I drive home.

I came in just now, and the little bastard was sitting under a chair in the spare room, gazing at me in mild astonishment, "But, I've been right here the whole time." Yeah sure you have, you wanker. I know you can fold space and time. Catch me worrying about you next time.

Wait, wasn't that what I said last time?

So, I was going to be at the concert this evening, but I stopped home (to feed the World's Ctest Kittens and a variety of other cats) and change, and suddenly felt very tired (I've been feeling a little wonky this week--apparently what I thought Wednesday was a hangover was something much more complicated involving lightheadedness and insides malfunctioning). And it was so green and pleasant and the hammock was just lying there... The weekend is going to be very busy, and to have one quiet evening...

I hope the concert is good! :-) I'm sorry not to see [livejournal.com profile] geekchick and her friends. :-( But cats approve of my being around to lie on...
