bike log

Quick run this morning, just the one side street, as it was busy and I felt like just getting back and away from all the traffic! ("Lots of traffic" in our neighborhood, being 4-5 cars and a school bus).

2.21 miles, about 15 minutes. That's not really much time, considering it's my main exercise every day (other than running up and down stairs at work, and I don't do enough of that to count for much.) I will try to build up to doing all three sides streets, but that's a lot of hills. I might try getting up earlyish and going down to the bike trail in the park for a longer ride that is a bit more flat.

A. came over last night, and I made us dinner. C&M kindly invited us up for dessert, and then we snuggled and watched part of a Hamish MacBeth episode, until we both started yawning excessively. She got up at an ungodly hour (slightly before 6) and I fed her toast and Diet Coke and sent her on her way. :-)

OK, time to shower and get on the road myself!

*sigh*

*counts* OctoberNovemberDecemberJanuaryFebruaryMarch... It's been over six months since I came back from my last Scotland trip, and I am definitely missing "home". I'd really like to be planning a trip right now, but with less than three days of leave currently in the "bank", debt that needs to be paid off, and the High Season (with its High Prices) right around the corner, I'm thinking I had better wait until fall. *pout*

I think the nice bonus is going to go into the savings account and be earmarked for airfare, though. That will make me feel a bit better. And I can at least start thinking about where I'd like to go next and discussing it with A. (*looks back at earlier poll*, reads [livejournal.com profile] magaidhbhan's last entry, ponders the Outer Isles...)

I should add, after my maundering about being overwhlemed the other day, that I had a list Saturday morning of 21 things I wanted to do (chores, tasks, etc.) in and around the house last weekend and this week and that--as of this morning--9 of the 21 had been crossed off, and I think I might be able to knock off a couple more this evening. Yay me! :-)
