Tuesday morning
Sep. 27th, 2005 08:53 amWell, finally got out for my morning stretch and run. I have to go dig up my old route map, but I think it's about a mile, and I walked about half and jogged about half. Keep doing that regularly and add some calisthenics (I need some crunches and push-ups, as those bitz are getting far too flabby), and I may not *look* any better (can't do much with a gargoyle :-) but I should *feel* a good deal better. Thanks heavens for cool mornings.
Did a quick pull through my game collection while I was cooling off after post-exercise stretches. Nominated about 40-50 titles that I could probably happily do without; a couple I'd like to play once but probably won't ever again (let's not even go into how long I've had some of the games I've yet to play...) With the exception of one conflict, I'm going to keep no more than three separate treatments of any particular battle or campaign. Of course, miniatures are a whole 'nother issue... I think all the card games will probably go into the "sell" pile (no one else ever seems to want to play them), and I need to go through the RPG collection again and thin it down (I can't quite bear to eliminate it yet). Then the bookshelves. Ruthlessness must be applied; polisci textbooks that I bought in London in 1985, didn't read for the classes I took, and have never read since will *go*! C and I need to sort out our joint books and music one of these days.
It's so lovely now; breezy, quiet, light spilling into my bedroom (which it wasn't at 6.30 when Nicholas woke me up). But I should shower and get to work. :-(
