continuing idiocy thread

So, someone posted this to this ongoing email gotarope at work:

Alright people that's enough of the stupidity. Are there so many of you out there that do not understand what reply all means? I means that every manjack one of us sees it. We don't care. I have had enough of these messages that have glogged up my mail box.

From now on, when I receive a response on this issue, I am reporting the sender to the appropriate people for the employee abusing the system and wasting resources and peoples time.

Hopefully this will get some attention.

Eight minutes later, someone replied (to THIS email; the above text was visible below their messgae) "Please remove me from this mailing list."

Thing is, it's all over the country. This moron who started it sent email to people in our corporate offices in San Diego asking if any of them had promised Centerville HS a new signboard.

Mind you, having done internet tech support, I'm deeply familiar with the idiocy of endusers... that would be why I got out of it. But I still deal with it on some levels...

Like today, for instance... Netmeeting training class on using one of our organizational tools... and even with the visual aid of the netmeeting training window, and the manual, which the instructor was going through line by line, half the people in the office STILL couldnt get it right. I had to sit here and chant "I will not run around the office smacking my co-workers upside the head".

And I love how many of these replies are coming from people with "IT" in their title, like the one from some twit who claims to be an IT and Security Systems Manager in some group. And these aren't the sensible replies, either, just the "remove me from this list" ones.

I'm waiting for the email from our CEO about this. I think I'll start a pool as to when it will be sent out.
