Oh, hardly at all! ;-)
There are serious movements afoot to persuade people to vote absentee ahead of time so as to make sure one's vote is actually recorded somewhere not susceptible to computer manipulation.

But it's also been pointed out that absentee ballots can easily go missing or be declared invalid. I'm voting absentee this year, of course....

They can, but they are one way around voting machines that have *no* paper backup.
