Well, yes, precisely. I pull up to the window, already annoyed at various things, and proceed to order such and such a meal with coffee. The waitron looks at me like I have two heads and says, "For lunch?" I don't say why yes, yes, of course; I am accustomed to eat lunch at 10.45 in the morning; it's my regular habit. Me: "It's 10.45." Her: "yes, we stop serving breakfast at 10.30."
I was able to maintain enough civility (since I know it's not her idea to stop serving breakfast halfway through the morning) and just say, "Then I don't wish to order anything" and drive away.
