winterbadgerI was footling around on Zillow this morning and pulled up a couple of houses that I like the look of. Some in Takoma and some, for comparison, in Burlington VT (the place that I keep thinking I'd like, after Chris and Mel introduced me to it).
Takoma: 3 BR, 1152 sq ft, $465K; 4 BR, 2230 sq ft, 659K; 4 BR, 2000 sq ft, 615K
Burlington: 3 BR, 2120 sq ft, $345K; 4 BR, 2044 sq ft, 389K; 3 BR, 1898 sq ft, 419K; 4 BR, 2574 sq ft, 429K
That's nearly twice as many square feet per dollar. Wow!
