well, %^#@
Nov. 14th, 2010 09:06 pmThe humidifier, which I carefully cleaned, is declining to run.
It's less than a year old, and I paid $90 for it. They better damn well be willing to repair or replace it.

Date: 2010-11-15 05:37 pm (UTC)It turns out that the first time you run one after many months of not running it - it takes several hours to fire back up.
Then it works normally.
I've no idea if yours work similarly, but it might help...
Clean it, fill it up, turn it on - expect nothing for hours.
Then it works normally...

Date: 2010-11-15 05:45 pm (UTC)When yours don't respond, do the visual telltales work or not? Mine's an "invisible mist" one, so I wasn't expecting to see any vapour, but I was expecting the little light to come on to tell me that the current was being received.
I cleaned the base and the reservoirs, but the motor is a self-contained unit buried deep in a plastic assembly, so I don't know that I can do much to clean that.
