Twitter, putting out all of those work journalists who used to have to dig up the obscure incidents of politicians being arseheads. Now politicians can just broadcast their stupidity and nastiness to the world....

frankly the young idiot didn't say anything that many others haven't said at one time or another, and he was still a student at the time, so it just shows how one's internet history can come back to bite you.

It's not like he said it 20 years ago; these comments of his are all less than a year old.

and I hardly think "the young idiot didn't say anything that many others haven't said" is much of a defense. People say a lot of horrible and offensive things; I would hope that someone standing for election would be held to a slightly higher standard than that.

Yeah what a great advertisement for scottish politics, NOT!!! But I think plenty people in the house of commons have similar outlooks, they are, perhaps, more fortunate to have enough journalists in their back pockets!

Sorry, am I sounding cynical already?....... and it's not even a week into the campaigning!
