So, the first one of these that I've been meaning to remark on for some time is that one of my wing mirrors got bumped the other day (they're the kind that fold in instead of breaking off) and I had to readjust it. At which point I realised (mirabile dictu) that if I aimed them *inwards* instead of wide, I could see the blind spots between where the rearview mirror covers and where I can see if I look over my shoulder.
I have a feeling that everyone but me figured this out a long time ago and has been using them this way, instead of positioning them so as to get the broadest possible *rear* vision. But, heck, better late than never, right?
