I'm looking at cottages to book for my trip in September and have narrowed it down to a couple in places near Inverness and the Black Isle. Thing is, while a couple are just right for me ("sleeps 2") a couple that are in my price range are a bit bigger ("sleeps 4-5").

Anyone fancy a week in the Highlands in September? ;-) I'd need to know fairly soon (I need to make the res. before they're all booked...)

ETA: So, it sounds like no takers. That's as I expected, but I thought I'd check.

I'd fancy a weekend in the highland anytime! But can't afford it, and would be dragging a husband and four cats. Not your best bet for a travelling companion.

But soooo jealous!

Wish I could, but I think I just used up my summer/autumn holiday time.

Before the kids I used to frequently arrange hoildays for groups of friends. Check out the landmark trust.

I've got the inclination, but not the time - no, wait, that's why the Leaning Tower of Pisa doesn't have a clock.

I have the inclination AND probably the time, but not the money! Boo.

I'd love it, but I'm back to teaching full-time in September. (And we're going to Ireland one weekend for a wedding.)

Doh!!! I would have loved too, but I am already booked to go to Switzerland in Sept, and it does seem a bit excessive to have 2 holidays in 1 month!

Enjoy your stay and let me know if you are planning a night or 2 in Edinburgh.

No, visiting a friend in Basel, so no skiing this time round :-(

But might be scouting out some good hill walks though :-)

Sensible plan leaving your next visit to Edinburgh until Jan - hopefully by January the binmen strike will be over, and some of the holes in the roads might be filled, so your impression of Edinburgh won't be tarnished :-)
