After lunch, some downtime reading and people- (and bird-) watching, and being greeted by a truly affectionate and loving kitty when I got home.

Finished three more books in the past couple of days. I'll have to write them up shortly.

Oh, yeah — frustration and low blood sugar are the worst. Glad your day brightened up! ^_^

Nick and Finn can be very affectionate, especially if you are feeling sick and in bed--that's a clear trigger that they need to come love you. But Busby is such a little love-bunny; he is almost always looking to snuggle someone, rub on them, purr at them. He is a terrific mood changer. :-)

And, yes, low blood sugar is a bad thing. So is feeling disconnected. I feel like I have very little interaction with people these days. I know I have lots of friends, but I see very little of them, as they have very full lives with lots of other stuff going on and not a lot of time for me. That's fine for the most part, as I'm usually fine at spending time with a book or a game or a DVD an my kitties for company. But sometimes it really gets me down being alone so much. So just going out, having something to eat (including the most amazing fruit smoothie--I've not paid nearly enough attention to these manifestations of new age culture, they are massive) and having very attentive service from a very cute waiter. She wasn't flirting or anything; she was just really sweet and very smiley and hitting the sweet spot of always being there if I needed something and not intruding when I didn't--it made me feel really nice to have someone being so pleasant to me.
