May. 7th, 2009 08:09 pmOpening my mail, I reflect on the silliness that leads a local government candidate in my old (and I mean very old, like three moves ago) district in Virginia to keep sending me campaign literature in Maryland.
I also prefer to concentrate on the portion of my retirement fund report that tells me about the (low) four-figure gain my fund has made since the beginning of the year and let me eye gently slip over the bit that holds the five-figure "unrealized loss" figure that represents how much less my fund is worth than I have put into it over the past 18 years...
