I keep forgetting to post this

I walk past a house with wonderful planting in the yard on my neighbourhood stroll, and the truck outside it is plastered with stickers of the sort you'd expect in Takoma Park. But two are especially good, I think:

COMPOST: Because a Rind Is a Terrible Thing to Waste

and

Suburbs: Where they tear up all the trees and then name streets after them

He he! I just came back from Belfast where my friends live on Cyprus Avenue (named after the Cyprus tree!)

Not after the island of Cyprus, which has had Irish UN peacekeepers there so long it should be the 33rd county? ;-)

Yeah not something you want to mix up when dealing with Northern Ireland!

But my friend assures me it is named after the trees, as there are still some lining the street.

And a very nice street it looks too! Clearly the mobs stoning Google Streetview cars haven't spread to Belfast. :-)
